World’s first radio signal transmission

The world’s first radio signal transmission was made by Alexander Popov on 24^th March 1896. The great scientist had shown his Popov lightning detector to the Russian Physical and Chemical Society on 7^th May 1895 – celebrated as Radio Day in Russia and other countries.
