The term "Dynamic HTML" (DHTML) was introduced and popularised by Microsoft. It includes a markup language (HTML), a client-side scripting language (JavaScript/Jscript), style sheets and the DOM. Thus, DHTML is not a computer language. It refers to three technologies - HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
