19 November, 1969

NASA Astronauts Pete Conrad and Alan Bean became the third and fourth humans to land on the moon on 19th November 1969. They were aboard the Apollo 12 craft, which was launched a few days back, and landed on the Ocean of Storms (Oceanus Procellarum) on the lunar surface.

The first moon walk was on 21st July 1969 by Apollo 11 astronaut Neil Armstrong. He was followed on the lunar surface by Buzz Aldrin while Michael Collins stayed on the craft.
