JavaScript is a clients-side language which means it runs in the web browser program and not on the server. JavaScript is used extensively by web developers to provide interactivity to web pages such as mouse-overs, animation and form validation.
If you are too darn lazy to learn that beautiful language (I have a tutorial on JavaScript on this site), pick up a ready-made script from popular JavaScript resources listed on this page. These sites have hundreds (thousands???) of Javascript that are categorized so that you can easily locate the one you want.
