Home / Events on 7 July / World Chocolate Day
The World Chocolate Day is observed annually on the 7th of July. It commemorates the introduction of chocolate to Europe, an event which took place on the same day in 1550.
The day is celebrated by consuming large amounts of chocolate.
Incidentally, July 7 also happens to be the death anniversary of Henri Nestlé, the Swiss-German confectioner who founded Nestlé, now one of the largest food and beverages companies in the world.
Chocolate has to be eaten and commented on 🙂
