Coca-cola went on sale at Jacob’s Pharmacy in Atlanta, GA on 8th May 1886. It was developed by John Pemberton, a pharmacist, and sold as a patent medicine.
It is often wrongly believed that Cola-Cola is the oldest soft drink, Dr Pepper was introduced a year before Coca-Cola came into existence.
