Voyager 1 took the now famous The Pale Blue Dot photograph of our planet Earth on 14th February 1990. The photo shows Earth as a tiny dot and was taken when the spacecraft was at a distance of 6 billion kilometers from our planet.
The craft was launched by NASA on 5th September 1977.
