Victoria becomes the first ship to circumnavigate the world

On 6^th September 1522, the Victoria became the first ship to circumnavigate the world when it returned to Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Spain. It was the only surviving ship of Ferdinand Magellan’s expedition. The great explorer himself was killed in the Philippines, and is wrongly credited of being the first person to circumnavigate the world.
