Agar.io, created by Matheus Valadares, was released on 28th April 2015. The multiplayer action game involves controlling a ‘cell’ and becoming as large as possible by eating other ‘cells’. The name of the popular game comes from agar, the substance used to culture cells (bacteria) in petri dishes.
