On 10th April 1912, the RMS Titanic set sail from Southampton dock for her first and only voyage. The great ship would hit an iceberg at 11:40 on the night of 14th April and sink resulting in the death of more than 1,500 people.
The wreckage of the Titanic was discovered years later on 1st September 1985.
