Newton’s derivation of Kepler’s laws read to Royal Society

Edmond Halley read Isaac Newton’s derivation of Kepler’s laws to the Royal Society on 10^th December 1684. Newton had put these forward in his theory of gravitation first published in his paper De motu corporum in gyrum.
