Mission: Space opened at the Future World section of Epcot Center at the Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida on 9th October 2003. The event was attended by several astronauts and was hosted by Hollywood actor Gary Sinise.

Walt Disney World had opened in Orlando, Florida on 1st October 1971.
