English author known for his hugely popular book series, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, which sold over 15 million copies and been made into a television series, comics, stage plays, computer game and a movie. Adams also wrote the screenplay for a Monty Python episode and three Doctor Who stories in addition to other books.
