Windows Live Mail error 0x800CCC92 - Server error 0x800CCC90

I was unable to log onto my email XXXXXX using Windows Live Mail, it gave me the following error:

Unable to send or receive messages for the XXXXXX account. An incorrect password was entered. The next time you send or receive messages, you'll be asked to enter your user name and password for this account.

Server Error: 0x800CCC90
Server Response: -ERR Unable to log on
Server: 'mail.XXXXXX.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC92

And now it always asks for the login name and password. Could you please help? Thank you.

As evident from the message, you are getting the error 0x800CCC92 in Windows Live Mail because the password you had entered is not correct. Or, in other words, the password provided to the email client does not match the account username.
