World’s first smartphone introduced

IBM Simon, the world’s first smartphone that combined a phone with PDA features, was introduced on 23^rd November 1992 at COMDEX in Las Vegas, Nevada. The phone had been developed at IBM and assembled at Mitsubishi. It remained in the market for about three years selling 50,000 copies.
