Thomas Edison shows his first motion picture

Thomas Edison showed his first motion picture on 6^th October 1889. The great inventor, with the help of his employee, William Dickson, had developed and patented the Kinetograph, a motion picture camera. Both the kinetoscope and kinetograph were exhibited on 20^th May 1891. Edison later founded a film studio which made about 1,200 films.
