One of the most significant physicist of the 20th century, Dirac is known for his fundamental contributions to the development of quantum mechanics and quantum electrodynamics. He is most famous for the Dirac equation which predicted the existence of antimatter. He shared the 1933 Nobel Prize in Physics with Erwin Schrödinger.
