Meteorite lands in Peekskill damaging car

A meteorite landed on a car of the Knapp family on 9^th October 1992 at Peekskill, New York. It weighed about 12 kilogram. The rear right of the red Chevrolet Malibu was damaged. A portion of the meteorite is now at display at the National Museum of Natural History.
