Louis Le Prince died on 16 September, 1890

French inventor known for filming the world’s first motion picture, Roundhay Garden Scene. The film was shot on 14th October 1888 using a single-lens camera with Eastman photographic film. Le Prince has been regarded as the “Father of Cinematography”. He disappeared on 16th September 1890.
