Hermann Joseph Muller Death Anniversary

American geneticist, molecular biologist and winner of the 1946 Nobel prize in Physiology or Medicine for his research on the effects of radiation on the physiology and genetics of cells. After discovering X-ray mutagenesis, Muller became an advocate of the dangers of radioactive fallout due to nuclear wars and nuclear testing and helped raise public awareness in this area.
