George Devol Birthday

American inventor who received the patent (U.S. Patent 2,988,237) for the first industrial robot in the United States, Unimate, developed by him and Joseph Engelberger. This, as many believe, set up the foundation of the modern robotics industry. Devol was a prolific inventor and got over 40 patents in his life time.
