First single-chip processor released

The first single-chip processor, 4004, was released commercially by Intel on 15th November 1971. The advertisement introduced the chip as “… a new era in integrated electronics“. Designing for the 4-bit CPU started in 1970s under Federico Faggin and it was developed through silicon gate technology.
