First push button telephone introduced

Bell Telephone introduced the world’s first push button telephone on 18^th November 1963 to customers in some parts of Pennsylvania. The Western Electric 1500 device had only 10 buttons and was replaced in 1968 by the 12-button model (with the inclusion of the * and # keys).
