The winners were:

  • Laura E. Richards, Maud Howe Elliott and Florence Howe Hall for Biography or Autobiography: Julia Ward Howe.
  • Jean Jules Jusserand for History: With Americans of Past and Present Days.
  • Herbert B. Swope for Journalism: For his series of articles titled Inside the German Empire that appeared in New York World.
