Chimpanzees making tools observed

Dr. Jane Goodall observed chimpanzees making tools on 4^th November 1960. This was the first observation of such activity in non-human animals. Jane Goodall had arrived at the Gombe Stream Reserve in Tanzania on 14^th July 1960 to study chimpanzee behaviour in the wild.
