Apollo 11 was launched on 16th July 1969. It was the world’s first mission to successfully land astronauts on the Moon. The craft was launched from Kennedy Space Center at Cape Kennedy, Florida by NASA and carried astronauts Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins and Buzz Aldrin.
