Herman Hollerith Death Anniversary

American inventor known for developing and patenting a punched card calculator (Art of Compiling Statistics). His invention marked the beginning of semiautomatic data processing. Hollerith founded Tabulating Machine Company which consolidated with three other firms to form Computing-Tabulating-Recording Company that was later renamed to IBM.
