The Church of the SubGenius is a religion formed as a parody of various cults and other religions. Apocalypse, the end of the world, as per their belief fell on 5 July 1998. And according to the followers, on this day, “X-ists” or “Men from Planet X” would land on our planet Earth and destroy “normals”, “pinks” and “glorps”. The aliens would then rescue all followers of Church of the SubGenius and take them (presumably) back to their planet.
