The world’s first electric light was installed on 5th August 1914 in Cleveland, Ohio. The corner of East 105th Street and Euclid Avenue got the two color light by American Traffic Signal Company.

The world’s first traffic lights were non-electric (gas-lit) and installed outside the Houses of Parliament in London.
