William Wrigley Jr. Death Anniversary - 26 January 1932

William Wrigley Jr. died on 26 January, 1932

American industrialist and confectionery magnate best known for founding the Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company. Initially, two chewing gum packs were given as incentive to customer on purchase of baking powder. Wrigley realised that the freebies were more popular that the product being sold and started concentrating on the sale of chewing gum. FYI, a Wrigley’s Juicy Fruit gum pack was the first product to be sold using the barcode.
