Theodore Maiman received patent for laser

Theodore Maiman received the patent for his ruby laser, the world’s first working laser, on 14^th November 1967. The American physicist and engineer who was employed by the Hughes Aircraft Company had fired the laser successfully for the first time on 16^th May 1960 and announced it a few days later.
