Steve Jobs was born on 24 February, 1955

One of the best-known and respected entrepreneurs of the modern day, Steve Jobs, was the co-founder of Apple Computer, Inc. along with Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne.

Steve was adopted immediately after birth by Paul and Clara Jobs and brought up in California. His real parents – father Abdulfattah “John” Jandali of Syrian decent and mother Joanne Carole Schieble – separated soon after his birth.

Steve Jobs is known not just for Apple but for two other companies as well. After resigning from Apple in 1985, Jobs founded NeXT Computers which made expensive high-end computers. A couple of these were used by Sir Tim Berners-Lee to create the World Wide Web at CERN. The second is Pixar, a firm to which Jobs provided $10 million funding. Several blockbuster and Academy Award winning movies have come out of Pixar including Toy Story (and the sequels Toy Story 2 and Toy Story 3), Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Up etc.
