Sputnik 3 is launched by the Soviet Union on 15th May 1958.
It carried twelve instruments and collected on pressure and composition of upper atmosphere, concentration of charged particles, photos in cosmic rays, heavy nuclei in cosmic rays and much more.
The conical satellite was the only Soviet satellite launch in 1958.
