The popular ISP, Shaw Communications (www.Shaw.ca), is a Canadian company that offers internet access in addition to telephone and television services. Each internet connection comes with a free email account that can be accessed via the web browser (webmail) or through an email program). Webmail is definitely the easier option and involves going through the Shaw email login page.
The webmail interface is intuitive and lets you compose, send and organize emails in your account. An online address book application is also available in which you can store the contact information of the people you correspond with. Contacts can be grouped in the address book which is a big help if you frequently send emails to the same bunch of people.

Login to Shaw email account – instructions
To login at your Shaw email account through the webmail interface, point the web browser to the direct login page link – https://webmail.shaw.ca/uwc/auth.
- The Shaw email login page is similar to what you see above. As evident from the URL, you are now on a secure connection.
- Enter the username and password and click the large “Login” button.
- The username is the first part of your email address, the one before the ‘@’ sign.
- The email password is the one that has been assigned to each of your active accounts. Make sure you are using the correct username – password combination else you wouldn’t be able to login successfully.
- In case you’ve forgotten the Shaw email account password, you need to go to the Customer Care web site and login with your primary account information. Now select “Shaw’s Internet Services” followed by the “Manage My Email & Webspace” option. All your Shaw email accounts will be listed. Choose the one whose password you’ve forgotten and proceed with changing this information to get a new password.
Tip: Passwords are case sensitive. Make sure the Caps Lock isn’t on by mistake. So if you cannot login to your email account, first check the Caps Lock key.
- For the sake of convenience, put a check mark before “Remember my user name” which saves a few seconds the next time you want to login to the Shaw email account.
As I mentioned above, even though webmail is the easier option of accessing the account, you can also employ email programs to download and store the messages on your computer; please refer the following for details.
The login was simple enough but thanks to you I can now download and store Shaw email messages on my computer.
I’ve tried to put in my login details but am not able to access email. Any ideas?
@Ann Pols
Assuming the login information you’ve typed in is correct, make sure the Caps lock is off. Passwords are case-sensitive which means ‘info’ is different from ‘INFO’ and ‘Info’…
Thank you for helping those slow in moving into the next century.
I have tuned up my computer with Windows 7 and now I cannot find my deleted messages or the ones I have sent. I can open new e-mail and read them. Please help!
@Olga Tardif
Which version of Windows were you using before Windows 7 – Vista or XP? Also, which email client had you used to set up the account?
Assuming POP3 was used to configure the Shaw email account on your computer, did you take a backup before upgrading to Windows 7? If so, you can import all the old messages into the new software, else, you’ve lost all the old messages, unfortunately.
The reason you see only the new emails is because your email has been set up on a fresh Windows installation.
I still have a problem sending emails and your comments don’t help. Please help, we have Shaw everything. Expect an answer.
How do I permanently delete the emails in the trash?
@Jennifer
Login at your email account through webmail. Move to the Trash folder. Select all the messages are send them to Never-never-land.
@Barbara Tesluck
If sending email is a problem, the logical conclusion is that the SMTP settings are incorrect in your email software. Please note that, if you are out of the Shaw network, you need to use port 587 and authenticate with your password.
