Robert Boyle died on 31 December, 1691

Anglo-Irish chemist, physicist and natural philosopher famous for the Boyle’s law which states that, if the temperature is kept constant, the absolute pressure of a gas is inversely proportional to its volume. Boyle is regarded as the founding father of modern chemistry, the first true modern chemist and wrote the first book on the subject, The Sceptical Chymist.
