The development of photosensitive glass was announced on 1st June 1947. It had actually been invented 10 years before by Dr. Donald Stookey of the Corning Glass Works.
In 1950, Dr. Stookey patented his invention with gold microscopic particles (U.S. Pat. No. 2,515,937 and U.S. Pat. Nos. 2,515,943).
Once he gained control of sex.com domain name illegally, Stephen M. Cohen created an advertising rich site which earned him $50 K - $500 K per month. The domain's legitimate owner was Gary Kremen, of Match.com fame. To take control of sex.com, Stephen M. Cohen provide false information to the domain name registrar Network Solutions.
