Paddington Bear made his debut on 13th October 1958. The anthropomorphised spectacled bear, known for his love of marmalade, appeared in more than 20 books written by Michael Bond. He comes from Peru and was found at Paddington Station (London) by the Browns, his human family. Paddington Bear carries a worn out suitcase and wears an old hat and a duffle coat.

Fact

The popular Times New Roman typeface is actually quite old having been designed in 1931. The Times newspaper commissioned typographer Stanley Morison after he publicly criticised the newspaper for the poor quality of its printing. The work was carried out by Victor Lardent under the direction of Morison.
