New moon of Saturn discovered by William Herschel

British astronomer and composer of German origin, William Herschel, discovered a new moon of the planet Saturn on 28^th August 1789. He named it Enceladus after a giant from Greek mythology. The moon is about 500 kilometres in diameter which is about one-tenth that of Titan, the largest moon of Saturn.
