Movie technology was demonstrated to scientists by Auguste and Louis Lumière on 11th July 1895. The Lumière brothers are credited to being the first filmmakers in history and they also patented the cinematograph by which several people could view a motion picture.
Their first film, Sortie de l’usine Lumière de Lyon (1895), is regarded as the first true motion picture.
