Last night, with nothing to do, I thought of downloading songs from iTunes. Had come across some great artists via the excellent iPad app, Aweditorium – Alexi Murdoch, Freelance Whales, Blind Pilot and more. Once my hunger for the new was satisfied, I started digging out some classics. Now by classics I mean those 1960s “free love” songs.
After spending a pretty penny, I started to meander aimlessly and in that state, I thought of checking out the biggest hits. That’s when I came across the list of the most downloaded songs on iTunes (Date: 25th February 2010). It was no surprise that most, if not all, of these numbers are of the “new generation”, if you know what I mean. And as someone commented, “these songs would just make you wish you were dead”.

Any case, the main demographic of iTunes is youth (not that I am very old… just past my “youth”) and it’s heartening to see them paying for songs instead of downloading them for free from torrents. Claps all around for the young generation.
The first song in the most downloaded list is what they play at my gym ad nauseam. But it does get the body moving. Oh yes!
Please enjoy and share.
Looks good.
Four of the songs are my favorites 🙂
This seems to be fun–thanks
I like most of these. Thanks
