Mir Space Station disposed and falls back to Earth

Russian Space Station Mir was disposed and fell back to Earth on 23^rd March 2001. Mir had been launched on 20^th February 1986 and had remained in orbit for close to 15 years. Cosmonaut Valeri Polyakov had spent a record 438 days in space aboard the station.
