If you are obsessed with Google (most web developers and bloggers are) and have a little spare time, here is a great page I came across in the corporate section of the Google’s web site. It showcases the company history in an interactive timeline. I liked the way the page has been laid out and the important events and happenings listed each year. Good stuff.
For instance, Google’s first employee was Craig Silverstein or that the Google logo was centered on the homepage on 31st March 2001. Also check out how the Google homepage has changed over the years.

The Apple iTunes Store was launched with 200,000 songs. In the first week itself, almost a half of that number were purchased - total 1 million song downloads. The music store was launched on 28th April 2003, and each song was sold for 99 cents. [more...]
