American computer engineer who, with John von Neumann, developed the IAS machine (known as the MANIAC), one of the first digital computers. He also co-authored a pioneering paper on cybernetic and modern teleology.

In February 2011, Executive Jet Management, which flies small chartered jets, became the first airlines to replace the bulky hardcopy flight manuals with digital documents on the iPad.
