John Sculley became the CEO of Apple Computers on 8th April 1959. He would hold the position till 1993.
Sculley had been recruited from PepsiCo by Steve Jobs. In a few years, bitter infighting ensued between Jobs and Sculley because of which Jobs had to resign from Apple on 17th September 1985.
The Commodore PET (Personal Electronic Transactor) was the first personal computer to be available off the shelf on retail stores. Another product from the company, the Commodore 64, is regarded as the largest selling computer of all time. Commodore International was founded by Jack Tramiel, a Polish-American businessman.
