John Dalton Death Anniversary - 27 July, 1844

John Dalton died on 27 July, 1844

English scientist known for his contributions to the fields of chemistry, physicist and meteorology. He also researched colour blindness which is known as Daltonism in his honour. Dalton is famous for his law of multiple proportions and the law of partial pressures. However, his most important work was on the development of the modern atomic theory.
