Inter gravissimas issued announcing the Gregorian calendar.

24 February, 1582

On 24th February 1582, Pope Gregory XIII issued the papal bull Inter gravissimas which introduces changes to the Julian Calendar. This came to be known as the Gregorian calendar, now followed in most countries.
