Guglielmo Marconi gets patent for wireless telegraph

Guglielmo Marconi received a patent for wireless telegraph on 2^nd July 1897. He had applied for it a little more than a year back on 2^nd June 1896. Marconi went on to developed the radio technology into a commercial communication system over the next few years.
