Gottlieb Daimler Birthday

German engineer and industrialist known for his contributions to the development of the internal combustion engine and the automobile industry as a whole. Together with Wilhelm Maybach, Daimler created small but high speed engines that could be set up on any kind of locomotive. The duo created the first internal combustion motorcycle (known as Petroleum Reitwagen).
