Gone with the Wind was premiered on 15th December 1939 at Loew’s Grand theatre in Atlanta, Georgia. With adjustment for inflation, it is the highest grossing film of all time.
The movie was based on the book of the same name by Margaret Mitchell who won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction on 3rd May 1937.
