Gary Kildall died on 11 July, 1994

American computer scientist who created the CP/M operating system which had preemptive multitasking with windows capabilities and menu-driven user interfaces. He is also founded Digital Research, Inc. (DRI) and was the first to see microprocessors as fully capable computers rather than equipment controllers. Kendall is credited to have created the first programming language and first compiler specifically for microprocessors.
